No. While developed by the SFC, the program is open to all qualified manufacturers who meet the defined criteria and metrics.

Qualified products will have the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence on the product container. The list of manufacturers participating in the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence program is available here.
- My supplier doesn’t participate with the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence. Are all companies eligible for the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence?
Eligibility is open to all manufacturers of high-pressure or refillable spray foam wall insulation systems with a domestic manufacturing location, if they meet the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence criteria and metrics.
- What products are covered by the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence?
High-pressure spray foam wall insulation systems and refillable spray foam wall insulation systems are eligible for the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence. The A.I.R. Seal of Excellence covers low, and medium density systems. The A.I.R. Seal of Excellence covers interior and exterior products insulation products.
Roofing foams are currently not eligible.
- Is participation in the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence limited to members of the Spray Foam Coalition?
No. All qualified manufacturers are eligible to apply to participate in the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence program.
- How was the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence developed?
The A.I.R. Seal of Excellence was developed by a committee of SFC members. The document was posted for public comment. Each comment was thoroughly reviewed and addressed by the committee.
- How will changes to the A.I.R. Seal of Excellence be implemented?
A development committee meets regularly to refine and improve the program. To ensure the Seal reflects the latest in industry technology and safety, updates are typically released on an annual basis.
