SFC Guidance on Georgia Code Amendments for Crawlspaces, Basements, and Attics

On November 9, 2021, the Georgia Department of Community Affairs approved the 2022 Amendments to the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code (2022 Amendments). The 2022 Amendments include two requirements for spray foam. The 2022 amendments require the use of removable insulation in the framing foundation interface to facilitate termite inspections and a new set of requirements for roof deck insulation in unvented attics. These requirements became effective on January 1, 2022.
